I'm a Scala developer since Yosemite (and since Lightbend was called Typesafe) .
I used their activator script without any problem on Yosemite and El Capitan.
I upgraded to Sierra yesterday, and tried to launch it with the CLI :
$ activator ui
Then I got an error telling me that the process couldn't write the file /usr/share/RUNNING_PID .
Tried the same command with sudo : got it working.
I then added my user to group wheel, and chmod g+x /usr/share , then everything went fine when I ran the command as my standard user.
My question is : do you know of a better way to do that? (More secure, more standard, more ...)
