Sep 22, 2016 4:11 AM in response to patricia55by QuickTimeKirk,Sierra and Safari 10 moves to a more modern HTML 5 standard that eliminates the need for browser plug-ins.
Your software needs to update the page code it writes to stop calling for a plug-in.

Sep 22, 2016 4:33 AM in response to QuickTimeKirkby patricia55,I am a novice and have no idea what to do I open my cameras by putting the IP address in the address bar and usually the screen shows the 4 cameras as can be seen on the monitor that is connected to the DVR. This monitor is upstairs in a cupboard and not accessible downstairs that is why I want to use my Mac downstairs.
How do I access them now?

Sep 22, 2016 6:40 AM in response to patricia55by Eric Root,Try going to your hard drive level Library/Internet Plug-Ins. Look for a Disabled Plug-ins folder. If the Quicktime Plug-in is there, drag it to the Internet Plug-ins folder. Restart Safari and test.

Sep 26, 2016 11:36 PM in response to Eric Rootby MacMito,You´re right Eric. That might well be the cause.
A bit confusing though as Apple´s tutorial on how to re-enable the QT plugin also includes Sierra.
