How can I install 'Contacts' list on my iPhone 6 with IOS 10.0.1 version (Maybe BETA)?

After (Supposidly) transferring the data and info from my iPhone 5s 16gb's to my newer iPhone 6 128gb's, I find that the 'Contacts' icon and link to it didn't transfer with the other data!

Doing a 'Search' for either the contact, group or names result in a Null result!!

Even tho Apple has provided a Newer IOS 10 manual, with Mucho pages, it is very difficult to find an answer~

Hello, Tapster1253!

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! From what I've read, you're having trouble finding your Contacts app after transferring the data from an older iPhone to a newer one. I know how important it is to have all the apps you need there and ready to use! I would be happy to help you get this one back.

Since iOS 10 allows us to remove the apps that are built into iOS (unlike previous versions that did not allow that), it's possible that it may have been removed accidentally. Please open your App Store and search for "Contacts" there. Make sure that it's the one made by Apple (it will say so right under the title of the app). If it's already installed on your iPhone, the button will say "Open". If it's not, there will be a cloud with a downward-pointing arrow. If you do see the cloud, just tap it, and you can get that app back.

This document has the details for removing (and adding back!) the apps that are built into iOS 10, for your reference: Remove built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS device with iOS 10

Have a fantastic weekend!

Thank You for your prompt reply, however, I found the 'Contacts' page (?) in the Phone area!

I clicked on the 'Phone' icon and it was nestled in their icons there!!

I guess I should just read the Multi-Paged (131 pages) of the NEW IOS 10 manual as the IOS 09 manual is of NO help with the New IOS 10.0.1 (Beta?) version..

Myself, why did they (?) have to move it there and Not show it in my main screen menu as Every other version did?

I guess this is Apple progress.......

Hi again, Tom!

The Contacts app has been available from within the Phone app as long as I can remember in iOS, so that's definitely another way to get to your contacts. It exists as a separate app in iOS 10 as well, though, so if you want to add it from App Store you can, or you can access it through the Phone app as you already found.

Take care!
