Congratulations on your new iPhone 7 Plus! I see you're connecting it with your Jeep Grand Cherokee using the USB port. Everything seems to work correctly, except the music plays through the phone instead. I'll be glad to help you get that working.
Get help connecting your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with your car stereoIf you're using USB Playback
Restart your iOS device and your car.
Connect your iOS device to a different stereo USB port (if you have one).
Try a different USB cable.
Update your iOS device.
Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.
Try playing audio from a different app. If you can't play audio from a specific third-party app, contact the app developer for help.
If you can't play audio from an Apple app, contact Apple Support.Enjoy your weekend!

Sep 26, 2016 6:43 AM in response to becky_s22by hamadeeeno,I had the same issue and tried all the above steps; none of them worked for me.
You only need to upload at least one song to your iPhone 7 (using iTunes) and then the car can recognize all the audio format.
