Have you tried a different cable, specifically an Apple certified cable?

Have you checked for lint in the charging port?

Are you certain there is power available for the chargers you are using (power strip turned off)?

If all that has been done take the device to an Apple store and have it checked. If the device is faulty you may be eligible for an out of warranty replacement at a significantly reduced cost.

IOS 10 had nothing to do with the problem. It simply coincidence, nothing more.

Also having the same problem after the IOS 10 update.

Indeed this problem IS related to the IOS 10 update, the same chargers that worked just the hour before the update now no longer works (and i have several cables now with the same issue)

In my own case I could easily track it down to non original iPhone cables. Although this is annoying as all my second hand cables were mifi certified and now no longer works with my Iphone 6. I would like to tell also that this is not the case with our whole household iPhones, we have 2 iPhone 6, 1 iPhone 5c and one iPhone 5s. The problem only occurred on one of our iPhone 6.

Apple has indeed changed something in their way the iPhone check for true assesories, it could be as easy as changing the allowed spread of voltages/resitor values allowed in the cables.

So my suggestion is, try to charge your phone with a iphone cable that you are 100% sure was sold with an original iPhone product. Hope this helps, and just to tell that you are not alone!

    Regards

Just to add some clearity to this futher, downgraded to iOS 9.5, and indeed some of the cables now work, some of the cables still don't work, but i get the message now in the iPhone that the accessory is not certified when i connect them (which may be true), which i never get with iOS 10.

So for sure something is going on here and apple have changed something. So go for original cables only from apple as mifi certifications does not really seam to adhere (or one get fooled when buying them )
