I have a rather annoying problem. Since I get my iPhone 7 with iOS 10 it happens quite frequently that SMS I send simply fail to be sent. They have the red exclamation mark "!". And I need to resend them. Which might work or require a few more tries to work.
I have tried to reset network settings with no help. Although the problem appears whatever the location is.
Am I the only one experiencing this issue ? Thanks !

Had the same issue. Go to Settings - Cellular - Cellular Data Options, then toggle Enable LTE to the "off" position. Should fix the issue, I think the update just reset a few things it probably shouldn't have.

I have the same issue with iPhone 7. I have full service, iMessages work just fine, and am able to make phone calls. But randomly my SMS messages will not send. Sometimes it will fix itself but usually I will have to restart the phone, which will usually fix it, but I shouldn't have to do that. I can try sending a message 20 times and it might not work, to multiple people using SMS.
Its not a service issue, this happens in places where I've used iPhones since 3GS with same carrier and I've never had this problem.

Just because you've had an account for a long time doesn't, of itself, mean the problem doesn't lie in your account. Sometimes, when hardware is changed, it can cause other things in the account to change. As SMS is a carrier function, the first thing you should always do when troubleshooting SMS problems is call your carrier and have them check everything out.
