Q: Sierra document extension

I tried to attach two Pages documents from Finder in an email I was generating using G-mail.

These came with a 'zip' extension and there seemed no way to change this - the recipient couldn't open them. In the end I converted the files to Word and sent them that way.

There also doesn't seem to be any way in Pages to do 'Save As' with document extension options - or even to see how the file is being saved.

You should not be sending Pages documents to anyone but another Mac user that has a version of Pages that can open the document version that you send. If another Mac user receives a Pages document from you with a .zip extension, they just need to save it to disk and double-click to unzip it.

All Pages documents are incompatible with non-Mac operating systems and Google Drive/Docs usage.
