Q: Trying to in-cancel my iCloud Photos library...

Had a pretty good look around and can't see anyone with the same problem.

DId a clean install of Sierra and when I went to open my Photos library it appeared to not be syncing with my iCloud Photos library. In an effort to sort it out I asked iCloud to delete my Photos library thinking I would just upload it again. Long story short, I canceled the deletion of the library in the manage preference in iCloud preferences and it all looks good from there.

My problem is in the Photos preferences when I select iCloud it still says that my library will be deleted in 28 days even though in the manage section of iCloud storage it does not say I'm going to delete anything any more.

I've tried signing out of iCloud on my mac and signing back in and no change. I've got a backup of my library so if indeed icloud deleted my photos in 28 days I will it have lost anything. But I just want to be sure that my request to cancel my deletion was accepted and I'm just getting some reporting error in the Photos preferences.

Thanks

I've tried signing out of iCloud on my mac and signing back in and no change.

Have you closed Photos and restarted the Mac to force it to close all preferences files?  Sometime a restart will update conflicting information across applications.

If the problem persists, contact apple Support and have them check it out.  Ddo you have signed up for enough cloud storage to be holding your photos library if you upload it again? When you enable iCloud Photo Library again after having it turned off, Photos wants enough storage in iCloud to be holding the photos already in iCloud plus the photos from the library you want to upload. It does not check for duplicates when it estimates the storage that will be needed.

As usual, letting iCloud sit and think for a day has solved the problem. The warning about deletion is no longer there. In answer to your questions I did everything you suggested before my original post. Thanks for your help. Cheers.
