OS update mucked up my phone

Hi, your famous upgrade of the operating system last week that caused so many problems is affecting me. you stated that you corrected the problem with a modified upgrade but there is no way for me to get the patch as I had already upgraded with your flawed package. Now, I try to upgrade again and it tells me the system is up to date. Several applications lost their functionalities, my contact list freezes all the time, the phone is now extremely slow. This is a nightmare, you changed something that was great into something that is extremely frustrating to work with.

can you please provide a patch for those who made the mistake of updrading on the first release day of the upgrade.

Have you tried powering down your phone completely and restarting?

Sorry, first time user here. Yes, I have powered it repeatedly, same with my imac and ipads. Not so much a problem with iPads but iPhone is really becoming a pain. I have asked people I know and they have no clue how to fix the problem as they did not upgrade the OS once I told them there was a problem

You could make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple store.

If you have a recent version of iTunes, you could use a USB cable, after putting the iPhone into DFU mode.

You might also consider posting in the iPhone forum, where there are a lot more iPhone interested users reading, and posting solutions <Using iPhone>

unfortunately, there are no apple stores in Malaysia, just independent retailers and they are not helpful when it comes to this. I will try the DFU option but I am afraid I will lose all new data and my last backup was done with the new upgrade and the previous backup is missing a lot of information so I am stuck between the two.
