After the update all the analytics of pictures and photo/cloud processes make the computer super hot and the fan goes like crazy.
I want to use those features, but the macbook pro gets so hot it burns your legs though jeans.
Also very disappointed that it a mid-2012 won't work with the auto unlock on the watch.

shut down, disconnect all external devices, then restart and reset the SMC
Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support
then restart in safe mode
Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up - Apple Support
then reboot normally

I had that as well but it was only hot for a few hours using the OS Sierra. But once it was done fixing up the Photos library and whatever, its all good. Quite sure this is a normal thing.
