Siri whatapp

Hi, when ever I tried to send a WhatsApp message through Siri I just get a response saying 'sorry, you will need to continue in the app' and there is the option to open WhatsApp undernea the message, I have allowed access to whatsapp in the Siri settings.

I have contacted Apple support via Twitter but they couldn't help and suggested I contact WhatsApp but they don't seem to reply to people on Twitter.

has anybody else encountered this issue?
