Can't delete text message on iPhone

Before the latest update, I could go to a single text message and tap on the text, get "More" and then I could delete, copy or forward. That option has disappeared.

I cannot figure out how to do that anymore. I have searched Apple's support; I have read blogs by several major Tech online magazines; no one has addressed this issue.

I get texts from medium.com. I don't want to delete all of them at the same time. I want to delete the specific ones I don't want to read or the ones I have read.

How do I delete a single text message in the updated operating system for iPhone? I have iPhone 6.

Press the message hard. When you press hard, the rectangular bar with the icon choices appears above the message, and Copy, More appears below the message.

I hope everyone has figured this out. Took me a while. If you double tap ( the old way). You get icons that you can add to the message even if it was sent previously. Press and hold (the same way you can now to view a new text when it comes in) and the copy and more button comes up at the bottom of the screen. Easier to use as it actually stays in place until you choose one.

Thank you for your response. The solution you discussed is how we could delete, copy and forward in IOS 9 or before.

As I stated and it is noted in the bottom of my question,I have updated to IOS 10. You cannot tap a single text now and get the words delete, copy and forward. Now when you tap the message, you get the cute imitation Facebook icons: heart, thumbs up, thumbs down, HA, HA, !! and ?

So again, how do I delete, copy and forward a single text (not group texts) in IOS 10?

Ok. Thanks. I was able to get "copy and more;" however, I can't get it each time.

I click the single message; I get the Facebook imitation icons. I click "thumbs up." The thumbs up icon then sends as a response, showing at the top right of the message. Then, If I click the "thumps up" icon by the message, I get the
"copy and more," but not each time. Plus, I don't want to give all messages a "thumbs up" just to get to "copy and more."

So, what am I doing incorrectly? The Apple tech who thought this was a wonderful idea could have at least explained it in the update.
