Q: IOS10 Mail Issues

I am using the IOS10 mail app on an iPhone 6s Plus and am experiencing several issues.

The mail box is IMAP:

1) Frequently threads merge together - I can have 500 or so emails not relating to each other in one thread - (regardless of whether threads are switched on or off). If I am viewing inbox emails, I actually can see sent emails in the thread! Open an email, and a completely different email is displayed

3) Reply to an email, and a new subject line appears

4) Put the phone in landscape, and you get a blank screen

5) My mailbox is emptied on download to my PC. The mail list only clears when I am viewing my mailbox folder, not the email list.

I know this is an early version of IOS10, but, Apple, can you please make this a usable business application again?

    Hello aadkins37,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important it is to be able to efficiently use your email and I'd like to help.

Whenever we see behavior like what you've described it may help to remove and re-add the e-mail account. This will ensure that the new Mail app has the latest mail provider settings, and will re-download your inbox as it exists on the server.

To do this you can go to Settings > Mail >  Accounts. Tap on the account in question and select "Delete Account". After the account is deleted you can select "Add Account"  to re-add the account.

If the behavior persists, or you run into any trouble, the entire community is here to help.
    Best Regards

    Darren,

I already have removed the account, then re-added. I have also deleted the app, then reinstalled.

The mail server is managed by myself and I have never had issues with any other iOS.

    Andy

Looks like IOS10.0.2 has fixed all of the issues
