Q: iPhone not showing in iTunes

Hi,

My iPhone6s isn't showing in my iTunes. I have run diagnostics and it isn't showing as connected, however when I plug the phone into the USB port it pops up on my windows screen.

I have tried the steps on the help window and have restarted both phone and computer countless times.

my iPhone is on iOS10 and my iTunes upto date.

I really am at a loss what to do as I can't back up or sync with my iTunes at all and I'm concerned I'm going to lose lots of my information. Can anyone offer any advice on what to try/do?
