Q: Login to New [NOT] Device every time
Every time I go to the support forums I get the message "Your Apple ID is being used to sign in to a new device" even though I've signed in on that device many times before. I also get in that message "Enter this verification code on your device to sign in", but invariably that verification code is incorrect. In order to get the correct verification code I have to go find my iPhone (and hope it is on and not in airplane mode) and use the code sent to it to get into my other device (either one of my macs or my iPad).
This does not make any sense!
(1) what is the purpose of that [incorrect] code sent to the device I am trying to log in with?
(2) I don't use my iPhone all that often, it's not always with me, and it's not always turned on. Why should I, as a user, seemingly have to keep my iPhone on and with me just to log in here?
