Q: PhotoShop Elements (Organizer) no longer works after Sierra Upgrade

After installing Sierra, the "Organizer" portion of PhotoShop Elements 14 (PSE 14) no longer works. The editor portion still continues to work fine.

thanks,

Jim

Check with Adobe support. It probably is not compatible and needs to be updated.

Adobe does not provide "Support" for Photoshop Elements. I have posted in their "Communities" and haven't received any feedback except that others have the same problem.

Of course, they do. It's one of their products. Call their tech support. The Apple forums do not provide support for Adobe products. If others are having the same problem then most likely it is not a problem with Sierra.

Tried to contact their "Support."  They won't help because you don't get a "Serial Number" when you buy through the App store.  Their response:

"I would like to inform you that we need the serial key and you have purchased the software through apple and the software is authenticate by apple , Only they can help you regarding this issue ."

Appears it was a BIG mistake to buy software through the App Store!!

FWIW, The Organizer seems to work for me and I did get it from the App Store. I'm not sure if it works 100% because as long as I've owned Elements I've never used the Organizer. Anyway, it does open, I can import images. I'm not sure what part doesn't work.

I don't see any mention that you purchased it from the App Store in your original post. Would have been helpful to have included that. It is relevant.

For me Elements will open for Editor. When I choose the Organizer option, I receive an error that it is already open and hangs there. BTW I have found a number of people who are having the same issue. Regardless, someone needs to provide support and since the App Store doesn't supply a "Serial Number" when you purchase it, I can't get Adobe to help me!  I know there is a version 14.1 (I have 14.0) and have no way to download the update.

Did you try "Updates" in the Help menu?

Didn't realize where I purchased it would make a difference! The only support I can find is the App Store category and then the only options are Community or email. Unfortunately the email for my Support account (.mac) is no longer valid and you can't change it.

    Catch 22!!!!

That was suggested on an Adobe forum. Apparently when you buy it from Adobe or other source, the version has it. My version from the App Store does not have an "Update Option."

Sorry, my fault. I had purchased a previous version from the App Store but bought 14 from adobe's site. I'm old. I forget stuff.

    Jim,

Call Apple Support for help. I don't know where else you will get assistance. PE 14's compatibility with either El Capitan or Sierra is questionable at this point. Maybe Apple Support can help you out. I provided the calling information in my earlier post of support links. It's the first item in that list.

Be sure to let someone at Apple know Adobe refused to help with a product they sell on the App Store. I'm sure they would be interested.
