Facetime doesn't stop screen sleeping

After updating to Sierra, the screen will now go to sleep during a FaceTime call. The timings of this are in line with the settings in the Power Saver section of settings, but I can't see any options to keep the screen alive during a call.

I'm sure this didn't happen before the update (from El Capitan) so if anyone know why this has changed, and more usefully how to stop it happening, I'd be vey grateful.

Hello there, krp1605!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are having issues with your computer going to sleep during your Facetime calls. I know how important it is to be sure facetime and the computer are working together correctly. Checking the settings are a good place to start. What you might want to try next are some specific restarts. Check out this article to Try safe mode if your Mac doesn’t finish starting up . While this article speaks about the computer not starting up properly, it can also run repairs and stop startup items that can cause issues.

Another option you can try is in this article: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac. This will allow you to check to see if the issue is user specific or system wide.
Cheers!
