Sep 22, 2016 1:45 PM in response to opitcherby LarryHN,We need details - what version of the OS and of photos?
what are your iCloud settings on the Mac and on the iPhone?
And your are a bit confused - you did not download Photos adn it is not a replacement for iPhoto - Photos can not be downloaded - it can only be installed when you do an OS install and it is not optional as it is part of the OS now (and for the last nearly two years)
iPhoto has not been updated for about two years and will not ever be updated again - all development was stopped after the release of version 9.6.1, the latest and last version of iPhoto
And in Photos like iPhoto albums are not duplicates or extra copies - albums in Photos are exactly like albums in iPhoto and use no storage, they simply point to photos in your library

Sep 22, 2016 2:09 PM in response to LarryHNby opitcher,Haha yeah I think I am confused. Well basically when I did the update, and opened Photos, all of these photos that were in my iPhoto, all of a sudden synced to my iPhone too, under iPhoto Events folder.
Currently on my iPhone 5s, iCloud settings are: iCloud Drive - On, Photos - On (under this iCloud Photo Library - On)
I'm not sure what my Macbook iCloud settings are (sorry not that fluent in this stuff).
Just want to get rid of this album from my iphone but would still like to be able to access these photos from my laptop!
