What happened to Sierra for Mac Mini mid-2010?

What happened to Sierra for Mac Mini mid-2010? At first I saw that it was the bottom end of the system requirements. Numerous citations on support pages and all over the web say "Mac Mini mid-2010 or newer." But now after half a day wrestling with the install, I find it now has to be "mid-2011 or newer"! Whaaaa changed??

"Never promise what you can't deliver!"

I know! It says that all over the place! But they changed it! Check this support article dated the 20th:

How to get macOS Sierra - Apple Support

Someone also updated the info on Wikipedia:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacOS_Sierra#System_requirements

Didn't show up in my Software Update and when I downloaded it straight from the App Store Featured tab and tried to install it, it wouldn't take. That's when I looked again and saw that the minimum requirements had changed!

No message. It just rebooted to Disk Utility on the recovery disk, which I thought was odd. But I figured maybe it just wanted me to run Disk First Aid, so I did, no problems found, and rebooted again. Then it just took me back to El Capitan.

I'm tellin' ya, they changed it! Check the links above.

Cruel to offer something and then take it back!

Ok, I just reloaded the page on my iPhone and now it says 2010 and Sep 22. But it must have been updated in the last 90 min., because I'd never loaded that page on the iPhone before this conversation (Which I began on the Mini but continued on the iPhone). And it still says 2011 on Wikipedia, so I'm not delusional! I'll try running the upgrade again tomorrow. Thanks all!
