iPod Classic is not registering as one of my devices in iCloud, but does in iTunes

OK, short of an Mac, I'm completely on Apple's bandwagon with my devices.

I am fixing everything up just so, made sure all my t's were crossed and i's dotted. So, colour me surprised when my old 120G iPod Classic shows up in ITunes, but is not registering as one of my devices in iCloud (it is absolutely present in the "My Support profile, as it should be).

This is very confusing, and I don't quite know what to make of it. It's working fine, syncs in iTunes as it should, obviously shows my ownership, but there it is, it's not a "thing" in my iCloud.

Little advice if you would be so kind.

Thank you.

iPods (except for iPod touch which is an iOS device like iPhone) are not associated with your Apple ID. Your iPod is associated with the iTunes library used to sync it. Your computer and its iTunes library may be associated with your Apple ID (and iCloud), but your iPod is not.

NOTE: Your iPod is on your Apple ID support profile, but that's only for warranty service purposes. There is no direct functional interaction between your iPod and your Apple ID. And your iPod does not interact with iCloud in any way, because it has no Internet connection.
