Sep 22, 2016 4:05 PM in response to jimhaynesby kb1951,I have a trash can in my mailbox. In both my iPad and iPhone, I can tap the trash can image to delete a message from my inbox. If I don't open an email, I can swipe from right to left and get the option to delete the message. Not sure why you aren't seeing this.

Sep 22, 2016 5:35 PM in response to kb1951by jimhaynes,I don't know how to insert an image of a screen shot I have of an email example, so I will try and describe my problem. There is no trash can at the bottom but there is, from left to right, these icons: Flag, File folder, File box, Left pointing arrow, Pencil on a square. But no trash can. Selecting the File box, archives the message. The file folder give you a choice of files to move the message to, one is Trash. A 2-step process, which use to be one when there was a trash can.

Sep 23, 2016 5:18 AM in response to jimhaynesby kb1951,Just to follow up now, I am looking at the mail app on my iPad at the moment. When I open it, at the top right are the following icons: a flag, a file folder, a trash can, an arrow pointing left, and a square with a pen. On my phone, I have the flag, file folder, trash can, left arrow, and square with pen. When I tap on the inbox, I get the list of my e-mails. If I swipe right to left on an e-mail, I get the options of more, flag, and trash. I am not sure why you don't have a trash can. The only suggestion I have is to try a reset by holding the power button and home button until you see the apple logo then let go. This may not work but it wont hurt. You may want to make an appointment at an Apple store to have them look at your phone.
