Q: New iPhone 7 Plus - Silent Button not vibrating?

Hello, I have the new iPhone 7 Plus.  On my 6 Plus, while I had the silent button set to silent, I would hear a vibrate sound whenever I got a text or call. (I use this at work). Now I don't hear that at all. I then noticed when I switch the side tab from silent back to not silent, there is no vibration like it used to do. Is it broken or what? This is actually a feature I really need.

thanks!

iPhone 5, iOS 7, not sure on IOS

Have you checked Settings > Sounds & Haptics to see if "Vibrate on Silent" is turned on?

The problem may be the haptics for "vibrate on silent" were apparently changed on the iPhone 7 from a clear, distinct buzz to a weak, feeble double tap. It is so weak that it's difficult to feel whether the switch was thrown. The OP may just be missing that tiny little vibration. Is there any way to change this? I have not found it.

The very purpose of haptic feedback is to provide reliable tactile feedback of an action. With my iPhone 6 I could reach into my pocket, locate and throw the ring/silent switch and be certain by haptic feedback the switch was properly positioned. With the iPhone 7 it is almost impossible to tell whether the switch is thrown.

This is exacerbated by a less accessible cutout for the ring/silent switch in the Apple case and possibly a slightly different surface contour in the switch itself.
