Q: How to add multiple photos to iCloud Drive?
L.S.
I want to use iCloud Drive to share some of my photos with my mother. I've used Dropbox for that up till now, but now that I've got the upgrade for 50GB of iCloud storage that seems the better choice.
However, unlike Dropbox I seem only able to select one photo at a time for iCloud Drive (Photos > Select > Add to iCloud Drive). Am I missing something here?
With kind regards,

The question is, if iCloud Photo Storage is turned ON on her device, and OFF on my devices, will it still upload every picture on those devices on which iCloud Photo Storage is turned OFF
No. Off is off.
If the iCloud Photo Library is enabled on device A, photos from device A will sync with the iCloud storage for the same Apple ID that is signed in to on device A. Again, syncing with the iCloud Photo Library is driven by an Apple ID, NOT a device.
It's a combination of the same Apple ID and the library being enabled on any device that starts the syncing.
And another thing: It seems like the pictures she opened in that Shared album are really downloaded to her iPad only temporarily, because after the iPad restarts, memory is a bit up again.
I don't believe this is true. Define "a bit"
Test this by turning off her wifi or use Airplane Mode. Can she see the photos in the shared albums while offline?
I don't think you can dismiss the shared Apple ID factor here.
What do you want to accomplish? What is the goal? That you have 50GB of cloud storage is moot. Her iPad must be able to store the content you are syncing with her.
