Q: A few AppStore problems after Sierra update

Hi, after updating my Mac to Sierra, there are a few AppStore problems:

  1. The Pages app updated to v6 and Numbers to v4, but Keynote fails to update from v5 (iWork '09)
  2. I was on the Public Beta program for Sierra but have now updated to the Final Release version, yet the AppStore is still trying to download the last Sierra Beta. I have signed out of the Beta Program on the website
  3. The AppStore downloaded iPhoto but the app shows the non-compatible icon (white circle with diagonal bar) in the Application folder- how do I uninstall it?
  4. Is the Debug menu available on the AppStore - the previous Terminal command to access this doesn't work

Thanks

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12)

    Hi,

A Safe Mode boot deletes system caches that may help after an update or upgrade.

Follow these steps to start up into safe mode.

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. Immediately after you hear the startup sound, press and hold the Shift key.
    3. Release the Shift key when you see the Apple logo appear on the screen.

After the Apple logo appears, it might take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your desktop. This is because your Mac performs a directory check of your startup disk as part of safe mode.

To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

    Thankyou Ms. Samit ,

Rebooting in Safe Mode enabled Keynote to update and seems to have fixed the issue the unwanted redownloading of Sierra Beta.

Any word on enabling the debug menu for the AppStore?

    Cheers

    You're welcome

I'm not aware of Apple's plans for a debug menu for the App Store.
