    I am not aware of a control to do this.  Perhaps you could share the larger picture of your problem.

    If this is user controllable, I would expect the control to be in System Preferences, likely in the Accessibility section.

     

    Accessibility does provide a control to enlarge the mouse pointer (cursor), which affects the size of the arrow, open hand, pointing hand and crosshairs pointers (and other members of the pointer set, I suspect), but has no effect on the weight of the insertion point.

     

    My guess is that the insertion point weight (the length or height changes with the font size) is a fixed value.

     

    Since the insertion point is a system resource, rather than one specific to Numbers, you might find reposting your question in the community for the OS X version you are using, where you may get a more knowledgable response.
