Available Storage

my phone keeps telling me I don't have enough storage to take videos or pictures. I have increased my it to 200 GB so I have 186 GB available but whenever I go to take a picture it still tells me I don't have enough available storage to go to settings. What do I do?

iPhone 5c, iOS 10

Increased it where? iCloud? The only way to increase (free) storage space is to delete items (photos, videos, apps etc) from your phone. Buying more space on iCloud does not extend the size of your phone storage.
