Sep 24, 2016 6:17 AM in response to matthescby irina_w,Hello matthesc,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that after updating your iPhone, you've been unable to connect with iTunes. I know using iTunes with an iPhone can be very helpful and sometimes crucial when syncing and backing up. I am happy to help get this resolved with you.
If you haven't already, I recommend restarting your computer and your iPhone. Use the steps below to restart your iPhone.- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
- Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
- After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Sep 27, 2016 9:51 AM in response to irina_wby matthesc,Thanks for the reply, I have tried this a few times and it still gives me the same result. I am fairly certain it was a mess up on apple's end as it only happened after the IOS 10 update and a few of my friends have had the same problem backing their phone up. It has nothing to do with my computer or the USB ports as the phone still charges through the cable. I am also running the latest version of Itunes. Even after the latest update(10.0.02) I still have the same issue.
