Downloaded ios 10 but can't install it

I finally managed to download iOS 10 but now I can't install it. The first time I downloaded it I had this issue, so I deleted the download and tried again. It took me a few days to finally get it downloaded again, but I still can't install it. All of this was done through my phone. Today I tried to do it through iTunes, and it won't even search for an update. When I click "check for update" all I get is the loading bar. I've tried hard powering off my phone a few times, and deleted everything off it. I don't want to have to completely restore/reset my phone either. I have an iPhone 6. I've also tried installing it on multiple different networks so I know it's not my network

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are having issues with your iPhone downloading and installing the iOS 10 update. I know how important it is to be sure the iPhone is running the latest version. it sounds like you've tried some great steps so far. At this point, it might be best to try these steps to backup and restore through iTunes:

Check out this article for the steps for How to backup your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Use this article for the steps to Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings.
Once that is done, set the phone up as new and test the phone to see if the issue is still going on. Then, follow this article to Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup
