Is there a way to show all of the songs by an artist in iOS 10? In the old music app I could search for or choose an artist and all of the songs would be listed instead of the album covers. I'd like to scroll through the whole list, not one album at a time.

I Listen to artists all night while sleeping. I have been since I was young. Apple Music changed and doesn't do this now. So I got the app "Beat" and replaced Apple Music with it. When Apple decides to put this feature back in I may reinstall it if I don't find Beat being better anyway!
Absolutely!! This app has become appalling, actually almost unusable now. Selecting "artist" and listening to all the songs I own is the only way I want to use this app so losing this basic feature renders it obsolete.
how do we change this? ios10 and the music app are counterproductive how am i supposed to access my artist list? .. its like we are prisoners on our own phone. When is apple finally going to actually listen to their customers?
Yes... very disappointing.
Back in the days i could easily tap on the Artist of the Song which was actually playing.
Then i could browse all songs i have from this artist and quickly play another favorite song of the Artist i was listening. This was great!!!!
Apple destroys so many great functions - music addicted people get insane slowly with every change.
They removed the "heart" symbol in the ui - now i never now: uhh.. did i "liked" this song allready or not ...
Or -when listening to new songs/playlists i could quickly "like" a song in lockscreen and mark new songs i like.
Now its much difficult to "like" a song or just look if the song was allready liked by me.
My main (smart) playlists are based on that likes!!!!!

They love music, they say.
But with every update they destroy more and more a music enthusiast is loving...
this is something i miss - along with being able to see numbers of songs or albums by artist - with every iOS upgrade it seems they are gradually removing bits of functionality that people want and only making it available through Apple Music - most of us do not want to subscribe to that as we want to own, manage and customise our music collections ourself - those who dont use Spotify anyway
im afraid it will continue this way and it looks like the only answer is to scrap the music app and use third party music apps instead - which then of course mean we cant use the extra interconnectivitiy with the other tools like Siri for example
after 14 years of apple music products/apps its looking like time to leave as they are forcing more and more pay and subscribe services to get any standard functionalities
does siri work with beat - the only reason im still holding out with the music app is the convenience o fusing siri and voice commands to play music - if beat or other aps can do that i'd love to know
I'm with you on this one. That's also the case for genres for example. Right now if I go into my rock genre Library, I'll only get all my rock albums. We should be able to choose if we want to see the song list within that genre. Just like in iTunes.
I found a bit of a workaround for the time being...
If you search for the artist there is an option beside the ALBUMS and SONGS headings that says see all. That shows you the full song list for that artist. I feel like this is a very simple feature standard on any music app/software/etc. that should be put back into the music app.
another workaround: force tap an album, and the menu "play next" will appear. do that for all albums by the artist.
Unfortunately that shows the songs in alphabetical order. There is never a good reason to show songs in alphabetical order, it should be the last choice when nothing else is available.
Even worse, the albums appear to be in some type of random ⚠ order.
Why can't it show Albums in chronological order, Songs Album order then in Track # order?
Right?!?!?! When of my ever wanting to hear my music by genre is album ever going to matter to me at all?
