Subject says it all. Now that Sierra is out, Apple makes it appear that the only iWork version out there are the ones that work in Sierra. Well I have a client that is running El Capitan, and doesn't want to have to go to Sierra yet. Is there any way to update her iWork '09 apps to the El Capitan compatible versions?
I'm guessing the answer is no, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask!

You can't get iWork, you just buy the individual apps (Pages, Keynote and Numbers) from the App Store.
I understand, but they still call the suite "iWork". The problem is, the only versions you can buy/update are the latest Sierra-only versions. In Apple's inimitable fashion, they're making everyone upgrade to Sierra to get the latest version of the iWork suite, and making it appear that there are no other versions! Pretty darn frustrating, in my opinion.
