iPhone 7 Slower Animations & Chop?

I'm using an iPhone 7, coming from the 6s. I've noticed that when closing an app, there's a stutter that occurs about 80% of the time when returning to the home screen. On the 6s, this is one, smooth animation. I even recorded both screens in slow motion to make sure I wasn't crazy, and sure enough, the iPhone 7 pauses right after the animation starts. Additionally, I've noticed that using the task switcher on the iPhone 7 is more choppy. Even more additionally, I've noticed that Unity apps are much more choppy & jittery on the iPhone 7 when they're smooth as silk on the 6s. Has anybody else noticed similar experiences? I did notice the home screen lag on a friend's iPhone 7 at work, and I've seen other people mentioning the same thing. Just want to get this out there so that Apple is aware. (If they aren't already.) And, yes, I've already written up a feedback request. Just want to get more visibility in this, or see if anyone has found any solutions.

We could do with as many people as possible putting feedback in on this one. I was in the Apple Store the other day trying to draw an assistant's attention to this exact problem; he couldn't see it. I know I'm picky, but I can really see this.

The only solutions I've seen involve reducing transparency and motion in the Accessibility options. They're just workarounds, though.

This is still a problem on iOS 10.0.2 for me on the iPhone 7.

I just did a side by side race with the 7 vs 7 plus and it's almost a second slower tapping home to reaching the home screen. I thought I was upgrading from the 6 plus?

Solved. I compared all accessibility settings between my wife's 7 plus and my 7 and the only difference was that I had accessibility shortcut set to Voiceover. After disabling animations were normal again. This is probably because iOS has to wait for subsequent taps to decide if it's a tap vs a triple tap.

I made the same experiance.

After disabling the Zoom Feature in Accessibilities the Home Screen animation was smooth like on my 6S.

i have the same issue. Don't agree that it's solved. It occur when closing an app. I have zero Accessibility settings touched.

Thanks for this tip. It definitely solved the slow animations on my 7. I still need those accessibility features though.

Invert colors does a great job at being "night mode" by giving everything a black theme whilst zoom helps reduce my iPhones screen brightness even more in the dark so it doesn't hurt my eyes.
