If that didn't help I would delete the preferences. If all that didn't make a difference then I would create a new user account, log into that and see if it works. If that doesn't help, I'd revert to El Capitan. Generally it is not considered a good idea to update to a .0 version of a new OS X when working with advanced pro programs.

Thanks for your quick reply. I already had changed to 64bit mode but it made no difference. I also can't save the project as a new project so there are more commands which result in Logic crashing.
I think reverting back to El Capitan is all that remains, or spending another 200 buck and upgrade to Logic X.
