Mark e-mail as unread

Hi,

After the update for the new OS, I am having some issues with marking e-mails as unread. Before the update, I could choose which e-mail in a thread of mails I wanted to mark as unread. I could also choose to mark the whole thread as unread.

After the update I cant mark just one e-mail in the thread as unread, it always ends up marking the whole thread.

Im probably doing something wrong. Anyone know how this works?

Seriously? The answer is to turn off threaded view? In iOS 9 I could view by thread AND mark an individual message as unread. So what you're saying is, in iOS 10 this ability has been removed.

Technically, I can MARK a message read. I just can't keep it that way, because the only way to get back to the inbox is to go back through the thread view. Which of course immediately marks the message as read again.

So frustrating!

Hello Philberth1,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important being able to work with email threads on your iPhone is to you! The good news is the following steps will be helpful in resolving your issue and be able mark individual emails as read in email threads. Go on your iPhone to Settings > Mail and turn off the Organize by Thread option, then test your issue.

Cheers!
