Notification when unlocking with Watch

Hi,

I've enabled the ability to unlock my Mac with my Apple Watch, which works great apart from one little annoying thing... When it does it, it makes my Watch do an annoying "ping!". Is it possible to turn that particular sound off (without turning others off using Do Not Disturb, etc) so that it just does a haptic vibration? I don't really need everybody to know that I'm using my Watch to unlock my Mac. Or maybe customise it somehow to something a bit more subtle, such as the unlock sound used in iOS?

In any case, all we ask is an option to lose the thump and the ping.

Keep sending feedback to Apple using the feedback form - the more, the merrier.

Use this form: Apple - Apple Watch - Feedback

Apple will usually listen, if enough users are requesting a feature, that is feasible.

I am glad about this notification. It is essential if you own more than one Mac or at work, when other people have access to your office. Only yesterday I received a notification that the Mac in my office had been unlocked, while I was in a neighboring room. The cleaning woman had touched the keyboard while dusting my Mac.

Actually it gets annoying a lot sooner than that 😁 so I'll just add a vote.

I got the impression that the unlock only works at very close range -- although it seems to be several feet. Surprised that it would work from another room.

In any case, all we ask is an option to lose the thump and the ping.

I would like to turn this specific notification OFF. I don't need a notification to tell me what i just did?!?

When you unlock your mac like 30+ times a day like me, it's really starts to be annoying.So i would also like

to see an option to turn this off.
