Suggestions for SSD Fan Control Settings

Hi!

Just upgraded my broken HDD to a SSD in my iMac mid 2011. Problem now is off course excessive fan noise.

So i downloaded SSD fan control, but I'm not sure of the settings (with respect to not damaging any components).

Here“s the settings now:

It“s completely silent now, but i have no clue if it“s the right "choice" in order for it be kept cool.

Mostly working in Microsoft Word and browsing the web atm. No heavy processing going on.

Could anybody point me in the right direction as to what is appropriate temperatures?

I have an iMac 21.5" late 2009 model. I have had the same problem for a couple of years now where the fan will randomly come on full RPM's every few days. I have researched this problem with no easy fix. It seems to be a common problem. FYI I have not changed or added any hardware. Most discussions I have found is people are having this issue after changing from HDD to SSD. IMO Don't bother with paying to get it serviced (unless it's under warranty) and its not the temp. sensors or SMC. I have recently installed a free app called SSD fan control. It seems to be working. The only problem I'm having is how to use SSD fan control properly. There is no user manual with the app. I'm also not sure what the safe operating temperatures are for my HDD and my optical drive. You can adjust them manually or use "SMART" control but I have no idea what that does. People have asked in the discussions but the replies that they get go way off topic and never actually answer the OP's question. Hope this helps and if you happen to use SSD fan control and figure out how to operate it properly please let me know.

Well, guess i“ll have to talk to customer service first then, because i don“t understand how they can put in SSD drives and not make sure that the temperature sensors (or lack of sensors) are not working properly. Otherwise, i am not gonna start fiddling with anything inside the iMac, so i would appreciate if anybody had any suggestions for the settings.
