Why does My MacOS Sierra show a purchase date of january 1, 2000?

I installed Sierra, yet it does not show up in my purchases. When I go to the Mac site to look at new features of Sierra, it gives me a page that I need to install Sierra, as if it does not recognize I have it. I downloaded it again, that is when I saw the purchase date of january 1, 2000. My oldest purchase is from 2011. So am thinking that the app purchase history doesn't go as far back to 2000, therefore isn't displaying. I think this will be a problem, if my purchases do not reflect I have Sierra. How can this be fixed?

Reset the PRAM and see if that helps, instructions are in iMac SMC and PRAM reset

Unfortunately, that did not work. 😟 Download still shows 2000 and Sierra isn't showing in my purchased apps because of it.

I honestly don't know what the issue is, however it doesn't seem to be a harmful issue, just an anomaly. If it bothers you though, you can always look in the Mac App Store's troubleshooting section.
