Thanks for reaching out via the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I see you would like to stop your Messages from being accessible on the Lock Screen. I completely understand wanting to keep your conversations private, and prevent access to them without your passcode. I would be happy to help let you know what options you have!
For convenience, app Notifications have a setting that allows them to be seen and interacted with on your Lock Screen. This is a completely optional setting, and can be disabled for individual apps under Settings > Notifications. Just tap the app you'd like to adjust (in your case, Messages) and toggle the "Show On Lock Screen" switch into the off position. You can still receive alert sounds when a message comes through to be notified you've received one, but it will not appear on your Lock Screen. To view it, unlock your iPhone and go into the Messages app directly.
More information about Notifications, including how they work and what options you have with them, can be found here: Use Notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Sep 25, 2016 1:51 PM in response to chris_g1by jandianajones,You do not understand the problem. showing messages on the lock screen is fine, but no one should be able to respond to the ext messages from a LOCKED screen WITHOUT ENTERING A PASSWORD.
APple should have a security measure that requires a password before al the text to open and be replied to.
Didn't you test that before shooting off a reply?
