After upgrading to macos Sierra, I need to press the power button on the computer to get it to wake up after sleeping. Just pressing a key on the keyboard does not wake the computer.
I'm seeing this behaviour on these two machines:
* MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)
* iMac (27 inch, Late 2009)
I'm guessing this is not the intended behaviour?
So are we saying based off of this If you see a progress bar when your Mac wakes from sleep - Apple Support that if I have a Mac 2017 with Sierra, that to wake up after sleeping for more than a few hours, the only way to do it is via the PowerButton? On my old system, I could always just hit the space bar for instance. In both cases, they are desktops.
Your Mac may have entered Safe Sleep. Does it happen, after your computer has been sleeping for more than four hours?

No, it happens right away. For example, if I select "Sleep" from the apple menu and wait 10 seconds, I then need to press the power button to make the computer wake up.
Then I have no idea, sorry.

And actually, it just seems to be the display that's sleeping. If I enter my password before pressing the power button, when the display turns on, I'm already logged in.
Need to press power button to wake?
