Q: Turn Off Passcode Disabled after Ios10.0.1 Upgrade in Iphone5

Dear Team

After  Ios10.0.1 Upgrade in Iphone5 Turn Off Passcode option is Disabled.

i am not able to set Pass code require off since than.

    Hey there, vivekjuneja135.

    It appears your iPhone 5 on iOS 10 isn't allowing you to turn of the Passcode so that you can turn off "Require Passcode". I'll do my best to help.

    If this is a phone that you were given to use by your employer, they may have set things up so that the passcode is always required. 

    How to tell if an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is Supervised

    Here's how you can tell if a device is Supervised:

    • In iOS 9.3 and later, look for a message at the bottom of the lock screen saying "This [iPhone, iPad, or iPod] is managed by your organization." You can also go to Settings > General > About and look for this line of text under the name of the device: "This [iPhone, iPad, or iPod] is Supervised.  [Organization name] can monitor your Internet traffic and locate this device."

     

    If you find that your iPhone is supervised, you'll need to check with your company or school for more information.​ If that is not the case, let us know and we will continue the troubleshooting from there.

    Hi,

     

    This is my personal phone and since Ios 9.3.5 upgrade i was able to set pass code off.

    But now it is not highlighted and I am using same phone for last 4 years.

    Thanks for that, vivekjuenja135. Since there isn't a profile on your iPhone, there's troubleshooting to be done.​

    How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch -- Before troubleshooting any device, I always recommend a fresh backup. It's better to "have" one than to "need" a backup.

    Reset iPhone settings -- Be sure to write down your Wi-Fi networks/passwords before starting. On your phone, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. This step will return your iPhone's settings to factory default.
