Q: I am not able to unlock my Mac with my Apple Watch

I went through and setup my AppleID for two-factor authentication, turned on bluetooth on my mac and changed the setting to allow my Mac to be unlocked with my apple watch.  However, now when it tries to unlock the Mac I get the message "Unlocking your Mac with Apple Watch" (or something similar)... after a few seconds it still prompts me for my password to unlock it... Any ideas?
