Yes, just tested it and discovered that there are a few variations of the bubble depending on what method you are using to compose your text. The handwriting mode is what causes the "sketch" themed bubble that I was seeing. I haven't seen it yet, but apparently there is a heart or something when using the "digital touch" mode. Thanks everyone!
Could they be composing a sketch at the other end?

Possibly, but it would have to be by mistake because I never receive a sketch, not to mention my wife wouldn't even know how to do that. I'll have to experiment.
As usual... a day late and a dollar short 😕
Maybe she "stumbled upon" it and then "ceased" an action unknown to her?
