Q: How Do I hide mailbox column on left side of Air2 and expand mail to full screen?

How can I hide the column of mailboxes on the left side of my IPad Air 2 screen and make the opened mail full screen?

Just swipe the column to the left and it should disappear. Swipe the left side of the screen to the right to have it reappear.

I was hoping there was a way to view a mail in landscape mode using the whole screen with no mailbox columns on the left side. Portrait mode removes them, but is narrower view. Swiping only works in portrait mode, not landscape. Thanks.
