Q: Apple ID verification codes on my iPhone 6 Plus

Why can't I receive Apple ID verification codes on my iPhone 6 Plus? Running Sierra on my Mac Mini and my iPhone software is running 10.0.2

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8

See if this similar themed thread helps -- The devices on all my iCloud preferences indicates "this device cannot be used to receive Apple ID verification codes. How can I change this so at least one, if not several, can receive the verification codes?

I checked the other post and while the question is the same I don't see a solution. Hopefully Apple is working on one.

There are similar threads which I can dig up for you (or you can do a rudimentary search) but if not, you can always reach out to Apple Support for a quicker solution.

I solved the problem. I went into the settings on my iPhone iCloud and turned on two-factor authentication and after entering my password then the verification code my phone now shows up and being able to get verification codes.
