Q: Pages Document Error?

Hi Folks,

 

Can anyone tell me why I keep getting this error message when trying to open a file on my desktop that I have had saved there for months.

This file is a document file all text

iPad 2, iOS 8.1

    You have two versions of Pages installed on your Mac. The index.xml file is unique to Pages '09, and Pages v5 documents are not backwards compatible due to this fact.

     

    Quit Pages '09, and then double-click on that document to open it properly in your version of Pages v5.
