Q: I have a disc inserted into my Mac and can not figure out as to where to go to play the content?

I have a disc inserted into my iMac desktop computer and cannot figure out how to punch the right buttons or program my computer to play the content?

    Double click the disc icon on the desktop. Hopefully you have an app installed that can play the content for you.

     

    If you don't see the disc icon on the desktop, open the Finder then go to the Finder menu bar and click Finder > Preferences then select the General tab then make sure:   CDs, DVDs, and iPods  is selected.

    If it’s a data CD or DVD, choose Computer from the Finder’s Go menu and double-click it.

    If it’s a music CD or DVD, open iTunes.

    If it’s a video DVD, open the DVD Player.
