iPad Air Bluetooth keypad drains battery

I Have an Ipad Air and when I have it connected to a bluetooth keyboard, the battery is getting drained very quickly and even if it's plugged in and charging overnight, it doesn't charge. The battery usage is the Home Screen taking up all of the resources. The minute I either shut off the keyboard or disconnect It from the iPad, the battery usage is normal.

This is a new issue, I never used to have this issue and I don't have this issue with my other iPad. Does anyone know why this is and know what to do to correct it?
