I did not get any error massage .
it just friezes and nothing happens.
Where did it freeze, when you went to the App Store, selected Google Maps at the App Store? Were you able to tap the download button? Is this when the error occurred?
Try a force restart on the iPad. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The iPad should reboot. Test. If you still have an issue, try logging out of the iTunes & App Store, power the device off and back on again. Once it has restarted, log back in again and test.
