Q: Why photos on macOS Sierra doesn't have video memories like IOS10 devices?
That is a simples question.
I've been messing with memories on photos app on my iphone 6s and on my macbook pro. The memories are the same on both devices, but when you play them, memories on ios are animated, all live photos are animated and you can edit chill, club etc. On the mac all the images are static, even the live photos. That was intriguing me so I found this. Enjoy your Memories in Photos - Apple Support
"The Photos app automatically makes a movie for each Memory on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Tap on the movie to play it. Then if you want to edit the movie, just tap the screen while it's playing. You can adjust the movie music, length, and content."
"Memory movies only work on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV. You won't see Memory movies on your Mac."
Why? If macs are more powerful than iphones and ipads and would do a better job?
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)
