How to do ⌑ pillow sign on Mac Keyboard ?

Here is some expansion on @Tom Gewecke's response above. This is the way I would get this symbol ready to type:

• If you have not already, go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources and check "Show input menu in nenu bar" near the bottom.
• Click that keyboard symbol in the Menu Bar and choose "Show Emoji & Symbols"
• Per Tom's advice, type "2311' in the search bar. That will yield your symbol, which you can then double click to place into your document.

What is not working exactly? You need to use two or more characters (e.g. loz) for the Replace side and may need to make a space after it when you type the shortcut.

An alternative would be to switch to the Unicode Hex keyboard layout, where you can make it by holding down the option key and typing 2311.

That is U+2311. ⌑ I think you will have to get it from the Character Viewer (Edit > Emoji & Symbols) instead of the keyboard.

But you can make a keyboard shortcut for it in System preferences/keyboard/text/ replace with.

But unfortunately he can't use Character Viewer.
