Q: Problem using remote log on and Citrix receiver with Safari v 10.0
Hello,
This is my first time using the support community so apologies in advance. I'm having problems connecting remotely to my work computer via Citrix.
I have an iMac and which is running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and Safari Version 10.0, and MacBook Pro which is running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 with Safari Version 9.1.2. Both systems are using an older version of Citrix receiver Version 11.9.15 because new versions of the receiver weren't getting me anywhere and the IT Helpdesk suggested I uninstall and try an older version.
Using the MacBook I can access my work computer, but the iMac for some reason won't allow me to connect in the same way. Instead I get the error message in the Application Error window is -
clicking on the details tab shows
I've read about the increased security settings in Safari 10.0 causing some issues. I was wondering what settings in Safari I could change if any, that would allow the Citrix to run without asking for a Java plugin, or do I need to uninstall Safari 10.0 and reinstall 9.1.2. Is that possible?
The laptop isn't always available which is why I need to get iMac working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
CS
